I'm back, flomo#
The above are my two flomo accounts. Let me explain in detail the reasons why both accounts were abandoned:
- Account in Image 1: The tags were chaotic, and due to initial use, content was recorded without much thought, without considering future organization, resulting in this account becoming a text junkyard. Although 300 memos were deleted during this period, it still remained chaotic.
- Account in Image 2: The tag system and I were already in harmony, just lacking the finishing touch, so this APP was put on hold for two months.
I have known flomo for almost two years, and it was through it that I came into contact with card notes. I have read "The Card Note Writing Method" twice and a half, with new insights gained each time. In my experience, the card note method is not simple at all. To use this method well, at least two things are needed: a systematic tag system and a complete recording/operating method.
On 2023-09-08, I logged into the second account and still had dissatisfaction with the tags. Suddenly, I had a flash of inspiration, made some modifications to the tag system, and completed the entire tag structure.
Interpretation of the Tag System#
- All "pinned tags" are index cards. (Red)
- All tags starting with "0" are content cards. (Blue)
For example
The sub-tags of the pinned tag1. Reviewinclude:1. Review/Decision Log,1. Review/Life System,1. Review/Life Observation Journal. These sub-tags can all be found in the full tag list, and their common feature is: they all start with "01." as tags, such as01. Decision Log.
The essence of card notes lies in having two card boxes, one for storing the content itself and one for storing the interconnected knowledge after thinking (index cards). I aim to use the "pinned" function and numerical sorting design to create two card boxes within one software.
