Learning to rest is just as important as learning to work hard, as human energy is limited.

Procrastination#


It is simply a result of laziness in thinking.

  1. 5-minute rule. For tasks that you are reluctant to start, just do it for 5 minutes!
  2. 2-minute rule. If a task needs to be done eventually and can be completed in 2 minutes, don't hesitate at that moment. Otherwise, it will accumulate and require more time and energy (switching) later.
  3. Break down tasks. If a task seems too difficult and causes psychological resistance, it should be approached step by step.
    • Start with tasks that require very low time and energy costs to eliminate the perceived difficulty. Knowing what needs to be done along the way eliminates the need to redirect willpower to rethink.
    • Tasks can be divided based on a two-hour scale or the content of the task itself.
  4. Reward + delay. Give yourself some motivation to encourage task completion.

  1. The best way to quit using your phone is not to stay away from it, but to occupy it. Use it to set a timer or use it for productive purposes.

  1. Changing your mindset only takes a minute, but that minute can change your entire day.
